I became interested in the hoop in 2007 and fell in love with the benefits and sheer joy it brought to me, as well as to my clients. I was impressed how easy it was to learn to not only gain the benefits from hooping, but to find an expression of grace, flow and beauty. I have been teaching these skills and sharing the joy of hoop dancing since 2008.
I also actively perform hoop dancing in the community, private and public events.
Hooping is a fun activity for generations to enjoy together. Because at the beginning Level it is a non-impact exercise, people of all ages will enjoy Hoopdance. Even pregnant and post-partum women can enjoy Hoopdance. Once you "Find Yourself in the Hoop®", you may enjoy being a part of a community of individuals we call "Hoopers". It's like having a membership to a special club. Get to know other Hoopers in your area! Before you know it, you will have opened yourself up to a whole new experience; one with its roots in ancient times but with a whole new"twist". Remember how much fun you had with the hula hoop as a kid? You can now enjoy that same feeling in an "adult" sized hoop with the added benefits of improved fitness.
You may find yourself hesitant at first, but once you've learned that first move, you may find yourself addicted to practicing and mastering each move. You may notice an increase in energy, or that you have become slimmer. You may find yourself more joyful and less stressed out. You may even find yourself more creatively self expressed, both in the hoop, and in other areas of your life!
